Skinned Alive! - Barbaric Treatment of Animals for making leather/fur products

This video below shows how animals are treated(Skinned Alive!!!) in order to make leather/fur products(the same leather/fur products that we use in our daily lives!) using their skin/fur. I am very very very much deeply moved by this video and decided to upload it to my blog so that all of you generous people will see and come to know about this barbaric and harsh treatment of animals. Please note that treatments like these and many other severe and harsh treatments are done to many animals apart from the fox(sort of) shown in this video including cows, buffaloes, dogs, cats, etc just for the sake of making leather/fur products.
I bet that you will definitely be moved by watching this video.

After watching the video(or if you have not watched it also) please see what you can do:

1.Most importantly avoid(atleast from now on) using leather or animal-fur based products in any form as the demand for them in the market is the sole cause for this and as this is the only method available to produce the leather.

2.Spread this message to ALL those whom you know like your friends, family members, etc.

3.Join PETA(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to know more and if you wish you will be given materials like DVD s, etc ( free of cost ) to create awareness among people about such brutal actions against animals.

4.Whatever good in any way you can think so to protect those poor animals. ( Note that after they are skinned completely as seen in the video they die within 1 hour or so. )

Other useful links(Killing/slaughtering/harming of innocent animals in anyway is very(infinity times) inhumane/bad. Please stop it):

My compilation to support/show the Sacredness, Greatness and Sweetness of Telugu language.

Tuesday 3 March 2009

Below I gave some very good Supporting Arguments that I collected over the internet.
Though NUMEROUS usual arguments exist, these are the arguments that I found unusual/not-easy-to-find/rare to support the sacredness, greatness and sweetness of Telugu.

1) Lord Rama wanted the translation of the Sanskrit version of Bhagavatam to Telugu.

"One early morning during a lunar eclipse, on the banks of river Godavari, Pothana(a Telugu poet best known for his translation of the Bhagavatam from Sanskrit) was meditating on Lord Shiva. At that auspicious moment, Lord Rama appeared dressed like a king and requested Pothana to translate Bhagavatam into Telugu and dedicate it to Him. This inspired him to translate Vyasa’s Sanskrit Bhagavatam into Telugu."

The above lines are taken from the Wikipedia article on Bammera Pothana.

2) The Telugu version of Bhagavatam contains a few lines written by Lord Rama himself.

"The story goes that Pothana wrote the first line of the verse, but could not continue (because he did not know how vaikuntha looks!). So he paused the writing at that point, and went to farm (he was a cultivator by profession). When he came back in the evening, he saw the verse completed. He enquired his daughter about who wrote the other three lines. The daughter replied - "You yourself came in the afternoon and wrote something!". So Pothana understood that Lord Sri Rama himself came and completed the verse."

The above lines are taken from the Wikipedia article on Bammera Pothana.
Telugu people are greatly indebted to the most beloved poet Bammera Pothana.

3) Something like …..“Telugu Existed Before Sanskrit Came Into Existence.”

"Legends say that Saraswathi, goddess of learning, created Sanskrit for eternity. Another legend given in a few Puranas say that Saraswathi spoke Telugu (another name for Andhra) when she began to speak, and created Sanskrit when she matured. The standard dictum "Samskaritha
bhaasham Sanskritham" means Sanskrit is a created and refined language from a formerly existing language. Andhra is reinterpreted as Adi Amara, the root language for Sanskrit. Among all languages in India, Telugu contains the largest number of Sanskrit words - about 70 (70%)."

The above lines are taken from the site: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Hindus-946/2008/4/Sanskrit-1.htm

A continuation of the above which includes an elaborate answer to the question "Did Telugu Exist Before Sanskrit Came Into Existence?" is found here

4)Poets and linguists of other languages have praised Telugu.

Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathiyar has praised Telugu in a Tamil song. Also Known as Mahakavi Bharathiyar.
" Sundara Telunginil Pattu Isaippom". Meaning we will sing the song in beautiful Telugu. Though he loves Tamil so much, he accepted Telugu as a sweetest language.

Celebrated French linguist Daniel Negers observed that French and Telugu had a lot of commonalities.

There are numerous references to the above on the internet:

Sanskrit and Telugu ( Did Telugu Exist Before Sanskrit Came Into Existence? )

Before reading the below part, I strongly suggest that you go through this page since it is more or less continuation of that.

The following gives the answer to the question - "Did Telugu Exist Before Sanskrit Came Into Existence?" answered by Dr. V. Siva Prasad, Retired Professor, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India.

Subject
:
Telugu and Sanskrit

Question
:
May you please elaborate more(in terms of siting more references) on the following statements(italicized-quoted,below) that you wrote in one of your answers(Those statements made me think that Telugu existed even before Sanskrit and Sanskrit evolved from Telugu. Is this correct? If so to how much extent?):

"Another legend given in a few Puranas say that Saraswathi
spoke Telugu (another name for Andhra) when she began to speak, and
created Sanskrit when she matured."

Thank you.

Answer:

Samskarana means refinement. One definition for Sanskrit language is
"Samskaritha bhaashaam Samskrtitham" - Sanskrit is a language refined
from an existing language. Which Indian language gets qualified
for it ? Telugu.
Ayithareya Brahmana of the Rig Veda mentions the
Andhras. Some ancient Sanskrit texts describe the
Andhras as an ancient tribe and as one of the ancestors
(Bhattacharyya 1988:39). The popular saying in Andhra
Pradesh is "Desa bhaashalandu Telugu lessa"; Telugu is
the best among Indian languages. Of all languages in
the world, Telugu has the largest number of alphabets.
We know that Sanskrit was not the mother tongue of any
tribe in India. It's very name says that it is a
reformation of an existing language. In recent times,
Esperanto was created to serve as an artificial
international language in Europe. In the olden days,
Sanskrit was created for the same purpose. Who could
have been the authors of Sanskrit? The name Amdhra
gives the hidden meaning Aadi Amara, the first Sanskrit
or the former language from which Sanskrit was made.
However, it is upto researchers to find out who was
best qualified for this task in the olden days. Which
language of India contains the largest number of
Sanskrit words? Telugu. The language of the old Telugu
texts contains more than 80 percent of Sanskrit words.
"Baala rasaala saala nava pallava kavaya kanyakan.."
- all are Sanskrit words of Grandhika Andhram.

This percentage is the highest for all old books
written in the regional languages in India. The Andhras
are the only people in India to use Sanskrit for names
of months and other terminolgy words in the Hindu
calender. Which language of India has the most perfect
pronunciation? Telugu. An American university wanted
the vocal recordings of the vedas. They have gone all
over India to find who would recite the vedas with
highest perfection in pronunciation. They finally got
the recordings from the pundits at Tirupathi in Andhra
Pradesh. Some ancient texts in India say that Bhaarathi
(goddess of speech and knowledge) spoke Telugu when she
started speaking words and Sanskrit when she reached
puberty.

Telugu people traveled around the world before Sanskrit
was developed. There is one legend among some castes
that one of their ancestors went abroad more than 10000
years ago.

Many cognate words have formed due to the interaction
in ancient times. Some are given below. The second one
is a Telugu word having the same meaning which is being
used for more than a 2000 years:

attic - attaca.
asset - aasti.
beat - baadu.
boat - padava.
bore - boriya.
boy - abbayi.

elope - lepuka.
fat - boddu.
foundation - punaadi.
gale - gaali.

mask - musugu.
master - mestri.
mead - metha.
mouth - moothi.
mud - matti.

oath - ottu.
pale - paali.
